Downloading a Picking Slip

You are able to generate and export an A4 sized picking slip.

There are 2 different picking slip styles available to be printed based on the selected PickingSlip.InternalType system parameter:

  • PickingSlipPDF - generates a normal picking slip

  • PickingSlipItemBarcodesPDF - includes a barcode for each item of the normal picking slip.

  1. Log in to the .wms webUI.

  2. Go to the Dashboard.

    Click in the far left of the top navigation bar to go directly to the Dashboard from any page in the .wms webUI.

  3. Enter the job number in the Search field.

    The Shipping - Job Management page displays the details for the job.

  1. In the Pick Slip Contents section, click Download Picking Slip.

    The picking slip displays in PDF format in a new tab / window of your default browser.

    Most sites are configured to generate a picking slip without barcodes. This prevents operators from just scanning the pick slip instead of each unit to verify if the correct items have been picked and/or packed.

    For a one off exercise, if you need to print a picking slip to include a barcode, you can adjust the URL:

    Generate the picking slip, which would normally have the URL with type = PickingSlipPDF as in the example:

    a-prod.dotwms.com/pdf/documentadaptro.php?type=PickingSlipPDF&key=3729938

    change the type to PickingSlipItemBarcodesPDF as in the following example:

    a-prod.dotwms.com/pdf/documentadaptro.php?type=PickingSlipItemBarcodePDF&key=3729938

    then press Enter on your keyboard to regenerate the picking slip to include a barcode.

  2. Download and/or reprint the picking slip, as needed.

  3. Close the tab / window when you have finished.
