Estimating Freight Costs

You can estimate the freight costs for goods from your warehouse(s) before they are actually shipped.

Tip:  Your item master data must be accurate and current for this estimation feature to provide meaningful results.

  1. Log in to .wms webUI.

  2. Click Shipping on the top navigation bar then select Estimate Order Freight Cost from the drop-down menu.

    The Shipping - Estimate Order Freight Cost page displays.

  3. Complete the details of the order so as to estimate the associated freight costs.

    Field

    Description

    Warehouse

    Select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.

    Tenant

    Select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.

    Suburb

    Enter the suburb where the order is to be delivered.

    State

    Enter the state where the order is to be delivered.

    Postcode

    Enter the postcode of the suburb where the order is to be delivered.

    Country

    Select the country for the delivery address, from the drop-down list.

  4. Add the order items.

    1. In each Item Code cell, click in the cell then select an item from the drop-down list.

      The Item Description cell is automatically filled once a stock item is selected.

    2. Enter the Quantity of the item required for the order.
    3. Click Add Line to add more items to the order.
    4. To delete a stock item from the order, click Delete Line for a specific stock item on the order list.
  5. Click Estimate Freight.

    A Success dialog box displays the estimated cost, weight and cubic volume of the order.

    If an estimation fails, an error message displays letting you know the reason for the error. Redo the estimation, correcting the issue as you enter the details. Click OK when you have finished.
