Cancelling an Open Job

There may be times when you need to cancel an open job. Make sure that the details of the job / order are correct before cancelling it. Once a job / order is cancelled it cannot be reopened.

Depending on the configuration of .wms in your warehouse, a job may only be cancelled if its status is Ready, Allocated, Picking or Packing. Or your warehouse may not allow any cancellations once picking has started. A job with a status of Closed cannot be cancelled.

  1. Log in to the .wms webUI.

  2. Go to the Dashboard.

    Click in the far left of the top navigation bar to go directly to the Dashboard from any page in the .wms webUI.

  3. Enter the job number in the Search field.

    The Shipping - Job Management page displays the details for the job.

  1. Confirm that the order is the one you wish to cancel and check the Job Status of the order.

  2. In the Job Actions field, click Cancel Job.

    The Cancel Job dialog box displays.

  3. Click Cancel Job to confirm.

    When the job is cancelled, the Job Management page updates for the order and the Job Status field displays the status as Cancelled.

    Depending on the configuration of .wms at your warehouse, any items that have possibly been picked for the order will not automatically go back into stock. If the items cannot be unpicked, a manual adjustment will need to be made in order to maintain the accuracy of your stock on hand.

    Tip:  If you need to find a cancelled job, use the Shipping - Job Management page to enter the cancelled job's order or picking slip number.
