Adding a File Export Definition

File exports is a way to process information about daily operations of a warehouse and the data flow for the operations, by enabling manual processes to be semi-automated.

Example

When a wave pick has started, you can also print a label to your printer.

Sending an inventory report every hour to the warehouse supervisor.

The Settings - File Export Setup page displays a log of all current file export definitions and their status, that is whether a transmission was successful or not. The data can be sorted and searched. If needed, an export file can be transmitted again by clicking Resend.

Tip:  File export definitions are normally configured for you, when .wms is first set up for your warehouse. If you wish to include other definitions, contact the Thomax Service Desk for advice.
