Adding a Packing Station

The packing station refers to a RF scanner that is integrated with .wms. You can add new RF scanners whenever needed, taking note that Thomax's standard billing is based on the number of device licenses used in each month.

Tip:  It is recommended that changes are not made to packing stations without first consulting the Thomax Service Desk. Some changes may affect how the scanner interacts with .wms and/or how you are billed.

ENG 12075 When adding a new packing station, validation occurs to warn you if there is an existing packing station with the same serial number but a different device name.

  1. Log in to .wms webUI.

  2. Click Settings on the top navigation bar then select Packing Stations from the drop-down menu.

    The Settings - Packing Stations page displays.

  3. Click Add Packing Station.

    The Create Packing Station dialog box displays.

  4. Complete the details for the new RF scanner.

    Field

    Description

    Warehouse

    Select the warehouse from the drop-down list, where the RF scanner will be used.

    Packing Station Type

    Select the RF scanner type from the drop-down list, based on the scanner type and model.

    Identifier / Serial Number

    Enter the serial number of the RF scanner.

    You may need to refer to the RF scanner manual to find out how to locate the serial number for your RF scanner.

    Comment

    Enter a description or a scanner name to further uniquely identify the RF scanner.

  5. Click Create.
