Adding a Cartonisation Setup

Cartonisation is an automated process that calculates the best packaging / box configuration for an item or group of items scheduled for shipment. It includes the ideal size of the carton or box for a product, and the type and number of products that should go into the carton or box. Cartonisation depends on the material and shape of each item, the item's size and quantity and the item type. When orders are packaged as efficiently as possible, you can minimise packaging costs and materials and maximise efficiency.

You can restrict the number of boxes available to pack with.

Example

Using only 4 big boxes and 2 small boxes, we pack what we can using the boxes that are available to us.

Force certain lines to be packed together.

Example

Lines from jobs A, B and C can be packed together and lines from jobs D and E can be packed together.

You can define a carton profile that includes the carton type and dimensions for the pick to carton process. Depending on the order type and the system parameters enabled for your warehouse, a cartonisation method is assigned.
