    Warehouse

Select the appropriate warehouse from the drop-down list.

    Tenant

Select the appropriate tenant from the drop-down list.

    Customer Code

Enter the customer code. This code must be understood by your customer's EDI (electronic data interchange) system.

If you wish to apply this packing job rule to all customers, leave this field blank.

    Job Priority

Enter a priority number for this packing job rule.

The larger the number, the higher the priority. For example, a job with priority 10 is more important and urgent than a job with priority 4.

    Job Type

    Enter the type of job.

    Job Complexity Score

Enter a number that describes the difficulty of the packing job.

A complexity of 1 assigns a single point to the job. A complexity of 3, assigns 3 points for each completed job.

For example, this can be based on KPI measurements.

If this field is left blank, each job has a complexity of a single point.

The Packing Jobs - Stats by Packer report lists the statistics.

    Label Template

Enter the template that is to be used for labels for this packing job default.

    Pick Method

Select the appropriate pick method from the drop-down list.

    Available options:

    • Not Set - no pick method is defined. A manual order cannot be created.

    • None - this method triggers the system defaults requiring each picked item to be scanned and verified as the correct item. The operator is not required to scan the ULD from where the item was picked. The operator receives error messages on their handheld scanner if they have picked too many items, or they have selected and scanned the wrong item.

    • Exact - the operator scans a single unit then enters the count of how many units were picked. The operator must then scan the ULD from where the item was picked. The operator then confirms the picked order to continue. This pick method does not allow operators to partially ship an order.

    • Partial - similar to the exact pick method with the exception that it is possible to partially ship an order.

    • Random - the operator is allowed to scan and pick any items.

ENG 8752 8743 You can manually add items to random pick method jobs, that are not on the order but are in stock in the warehouse.

The random pick method will no longer check if the item is on the job, and allows picks to be made.

    • Exact (Inline) - the same as exact, but pick and pack are done together on a single screen.

    • Partial (Inline) - the same as partial, but pick and pack are done together on a single screen.

    Pack Method

Select the appropriate pack method from the drop-down list.

    Available options:

    • Admin Task - a consignment note is not generated. The order is marked as packed and completed.

    • Automatic Generation - this option requires item(s) to be configured for auto consignments with the appropriate system parameters enabled. Each item must be updated with the number of cartons required in the Number of cartons for shipment in AutoConsignment mode field of the item's master data.

    • Carton - the operator must scan each item being packed for shipping. The number of carton labels required is automatically calculated based on the item's cubic dimensions and weight.

    • Manual - the operator must enter the number of carton(s) being shipped. The operator is not required to scan or verify the items being packed for shipping.

    • Manual Packaging Selection - the operator selects the relevant carton size being packed for shipping from a drop-down menu. A connote is printed for each size being packed.

    • Not Set - no pack method is defined. A manual order cannot be created.

    • Pallet - cartons are placed on a pallet.

    • Rainbow Pallet - multiple sized cartons are placed on a pallet. Rainbow pallets have multiple layers of items. Each layer is generally one item laid out to create a uniform coverage.
