Tracking Serial Numbers
You can track an item's serial number while it is being receipted into stock or shipped to a customer or both.
To be able to track an item's serial number you need to enable the appropriate options on its item master record.

Log in to .wms webUI.

Click Stock on the top navigation bar then select Item Master Data from the drop-down menu.
The Stock - Item Master Data page displays.

Find and select the item you wish to track using its serial number.

In the Actions column for the selected item, click Edit Item.
The Edit Item dialog box displays.

Tick the checkboxes next to the appropriate Serial Tracking options, as needed.

Click Save.

If the Track Serial on Receipt checkbox is ticked, a staff member receipting the item is prompted to record the serial number of the product.
On the Receipting - Manage Inbound Receipts page, you can find a receipt and the recorded item serial number.
There are a number of ways to find serial numbers:

Go to the Receipting - Managing Inbound Receipts page.

Find and select a receipt.

Click the Shipment # for the selected receipt.
The Receipting - Job Management page displays.

In the Actions column for a selected order, click Line Detail.
The Line Details dialog box lists the serial numbers used.

Click Close when you are finished viewing the serial numbers.

Go to the Receipting - Managing Inbound Receipts page.

Find and select a receipt.

Click the Shipment # for the selected receipt.
The Receipting - Job Management page displays.

In the Receipt Completed field, click Stock Receipt Docket.
A PDF report is generated listing all item lines receipted into stock and any serial numbers that were recorded.

Go to Stock > Stock ULD Location.
The Stock Reporting - Product ULD Locations page.

Enter the details for the Item Code and Serial Number of the item you are trying to find.

Click Search.
The report lists the ULD barcode and location if recorded for the item.

Go to Stock > Stock ULD Location.
The Stock Reporting - Product ULD Locations page.

Enter the Item Code for the item you are trying to find.

Click Search.
The reports lists serial numbers and associated ULD barcodes for the item.

Go to Stock > ULD Management.
The Stock - ULD Management page displays.

Enter the ULD Barcode.

Click Search.
The report lists all products contained in the ULD and the serial numbers that were recorded, including a movements log.

If the Track Serial on Shipment checkbox is ticked, a staff member picking and shipping an item is prompted to record the serial number of the product. When items are to be picked, the operator is prompted to scan the product and the item's ULD. Then they will be prompted to enter or scan the serial number of the picked item.
An error message displays if the operator attempts to pick an item with the wrong serial number or from the wrong ULD.
When picking is complete, the packer is also prompted to enter or scan the item's serial number. An error message displays if the wrong serial number is entered or scanned.
There are a number of ways to find serial numbers:

Go to Shipping > Job Management.

Enter the Packing Slip / Order Number.

Click Show.
The Shipping - Job Management page displays.
The Logistic Units section lists serial numbers.

Go to Stock > Stock Movements Report.
The Stock Reporting - Movements page displays.

Enter the Item Code and Serial Number.

Click Search.
All movements relating to the item are listed. Click on a receipt or shipment to view more details.
