Printing an Item Barcode Label

The majority of products stored in your warehouse will have an internationally registered barcode assigned. However, there may be cases where a manufacturer barcode does not exist.

Example

Manufactured items, fresh produce or even a pack of items being broken down into smaller units for sale.

You can create system generated products which can be printed and assigned to a product. This can reduce picker errors as all products within the warehouse are able to be scanned.

In .wms, all item barcodes are stored directly with the item master record.

  1. Log in to .wms webUI.

  2. Click Stock on the top navigation bar then select Item Master Data from the drop-down menu.

The Stock - Item Master Data page displays.

  3. Find and select the item you wish to generate a barcode for.

  4. In the Actions column for the selected item, click Edit Item.

The Edit Item dialog box displays.

  5. In the Trade Units section, you can maintain barcodes for the different UOMs in which the product can be sold.

The Barcode/GTIN number defaults to the item code. This can be changed to the actual barcode if it exists.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click Stock on the top navigation bar then select Print Item Barcode Labels from the drop-down menu.
