Cloning Item Master Data

Note: If your ERP system manages your stock, any changes to item master data should be made in your ERP system and not in .wms.

It is possible to use the details from an existing item master data record to create a new item master data record.

  1. Log in to .wms webUI.

  2. Click Stock on the top navigation bar then select Item Master Data from the drop-down menu.

    The Stock - Item Master Data page displays.

  3. Find and select the item you wish to use to make a copy of.

  4. In the Actions column for the selected item, click Clone Item.

    The Edit Item dialog box displays.

  5. Make your changes to the current item's data to make it unique for the new item master data record.

    Note: It is important that the new item master data record has a unique Item Code.

  6. Click Save.
