Setting up for Bin Counts

You can easily verify the quantity of items in a bin(s) in your warehouse.

  1. Log in to .wms webUI.

  2. Click Stock on the top navigation bar then select Bin Count from the drop-down menu.

    The Stock - Bin Count page displays.

  3. Complete the details for the bin count.

    Field

    Description

    Warehouse

    Select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.

    Tenant

    Select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.

    Item Code

    1. Start typing the item code for a list to display then select the item code from the drop-down list.

    2. Click Select Item, for the item to display in the Selected Items field below.

      To deselect an item, if you have selected an incorrect item and you wish to remove it from the list, click the item in the Selected Items field for it to be removed from the field.

    3. Continue adding more items as needed.

    Bin Code Range

    Enter the minimum bin code and the maximum bin code that is to be counted.

    Bin Code Filter

    Enter a filter to only select the bin codes you need for the count.

    Filters can include wildcards to represent:

    • a single character (_ underscore)

    • multiple characters (% percentage)

    Multiple wildcards can be used in one filter.

    For example, using the single character wildcard (_), entering the filter "_-01-01" returns the results "A-01-01" and "Z-01-01".

    For example, using the multiple character wildcard (%), entering the filter “A-%” returns the results “A-01-01” and A-09-99”.

    To search for a wildcard character, place a backslash before it, e.g. “A\_01\_%.

    Warehouse Zone

    Select the appropriate warehouse zone from the drop-down list where the bins exist.

    If this field is blank, then the item count check occurs for all warehouse zones.

    ULD Storage Type

    ENG-6725

    Select the appropriate storage type from the drop-down list.

    Available options:

    • Bulk - if selected, then only bulk ULDs will have bin count records created.

    • Picking - if selected, then only picking ULDs will have bin count records created.

    • Both - all ULDs (that are not destroyed) will have bin count records created.

    Bin Count Group

    Enter a unique descriptive name for the bin count group.

    This is needed for the warehouse operator to select the group on their RF scanner to start the physical item count on the warehouse floor.

    Take note of the name of the bin count group.

    If this field is blank, the bin count request on the RF scanner is listed in No Group.

  4. Click Submit.

    A message displays lets you know that the creation of the bin count was successful.

    The bin count can now be started using a RF scanner.
