Creating a Run

You can plan which vehicles will deliver on specific days and include the consignments that they deliver.

A run can optionally be restricted to a maximum number of consignments and articles.

Enter a maximum number for the Routing.MaximumArticles and Routing.MaximumConsignments settings to restrict the maximum number of consignments and articles.

ENG 8943 It is also possible to schedule multiple runs on the same day for a vehicle. ENG 11006 Validation ensures that multiple runs on one vehicle are handled correctly and that drivers are only delivering runs that have been dispatched.

1. Log in to the .tms webUI.

2. Click Routing on the top navigation bar then select Route Management from the drop-down menu.

   The Routing Management page displays.

3. Click Create Run.

   The Create Run dialog box displays.

4. Select the Vehicle from the drop-down list.

5. Enter or select the Estimated Run Date.

6. Click Create.

   The run is listed in the Route Management data table.

   Depending on how your system has been set up, when a run is created consignments are automatically routed.

   There may be instances where you have to manually assign consignments to a run.
