Overview
The .wms Desktop is installed and run on a computer with a Windows operating system. The app works with RF scanners that can be connected using USB or Bluetooth and are configurable to allow pre-fixing and post-fixing of scan events.
The RF scanners are connected to the computer running the .wms Desktop. The .wms Desktop interfaces directly with .wms, displaying all your receipting jobs and your picking and packing jobs.

Like any other Windows application, .wms Desktop has a menu ribbon at the top which links to different functional screens from which you can select options.
Close any screen by clicking X in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
As you progress through a task, like picking to packing, the screens change colour to show the status of the task. A traffic light colour scheme is used:
-
green = on track, good
-
orange = in progress
-
red = warning or error
Only one functional screen can be open at any one time. Before moving on to a new task, close the current screen before opening a new functional screen.
