Adding a New Rate

Associate a rate with a charge code. A rate is generally customer specific and must be linked with a tenant and a warehouse.

Contracted rates can be controlled with the Effective Date and End Date fields.

Example

If a new rate applies from the start of the 2024-2025 financial year, then the end date for the old rate is listed as 30/06/2024. A new rate is then created with the new unit price. The start date for the new rate is 01/07/2024. The new rate is automatically applied on this date.

  1. Log in to 3PL Billing.

  2. Click Charges on the top navigation bar then select Setup Rates from the drop-down menu.

    or

    Click Setup Rates on the 3PL Billing dashboard.

    The Rate Setup page displays.

  3. Click Add New Rate.

    The Create New Rate dialog box displays.

  4. Complete the details for the new rate.

    Field

    Description

    Tenant

    Select the tenant from the drop-down list, if this rate is to be specific to them.

    Or select All Tenants, if the rate is to apply to everyone.

    Warehouse

    Select the warehouse from the drop-down list, that this rate will apply to.

    Or select All Warehouses, if the rate is to apply to all your warehouses.

    Charge Code

    Select the charge code from the drop-down list of active charge codes that this rate applies to.

    Unit Price

    Enter the rate value in dollars for each unit.

    Effective Date

    Enter or select the start date to apply this rate.

    End Date

    Enter or select the end date from when this rate will no longer apply.

    Additional Rate Info

    Enter more information or any comments about this rate.

  5. Click Submit.
