Charges and Rates
As a 3PL provider, you can set your charge codes for tasks that you regularly do for your customers, such as picking, packing, receipting and storage. You can then set up the rates for these charge codes.

-
Click Charges on the top navigation bar then select Setup Charge Codes from the drop-down menu.
or
Click Setup Charge Codes on the 3PL Billing dashboard.
The Charge Code Setup page displays.

-
Click Charges on the top navigation bar then select Setup Rates from the drop-down menu.
or
Click Setup Rates on the 3PL Billing dashboard.
The Rate Setup page displays.

Rates can be based on volume (per unit or UOM), weight or a combination of both.
Cost = charge code
When additional rates are applied to the same charge code, 3PL Billing bases its calculations on the:
-
the 'all' assignment mapping for the tenant and/or warehouse for that charge code
and
- the date range.
Scenario A
Original rate (unit price) for the Charge Code = STORAGE.
Charge Code | STORAGE |
Tenant Code | All Tenants |
Warehouse Code | All Warehouses |
Unit Price (rate) | $2.00 |
Effective Date | 22/09/2022 |
End Date | 22/09/2023 |
Scenario B
The rate (unit price) for the Charge Code = STORAGE remains for All Warehouses, but a different rate applies for a specific tenant for the same date range.
Charge Code | STORAGE |
Tenant Code | Apple Rose |
Warehouse Code | All Warehouses |
Unit Price (rate) | $4.00 |
Effective Date | 22/09/2022 |
End Date | 22/09/2023 |
A new tenant record is added.
Scenario C
The rate (unit price) increases for the Charge Code = STORAGE, using the same information as in Scenario A.
Charge Code | STORAGE |
Tenant Code | All Tenants |
Warehouse Code | All Warehouses |
Unit Price (rate) | $3.00 |
Effective Date | 22/09/2022 |
End Date | 22/09/2023 |
3PL Billing processes the change as an update to the rate record using the new unit price.
